What a PITY the expectation of a new Lagos couple to have a roof over their head (home) after their wedding ceremony has been shattered by some alleged Lagos fraudsters , led by an inmate at the Kirikiri prison , named Alhaji Lukman Adewale.
In line with the information we gathered from a supply, the couple and 11 others , who had paid totally different sums of cash for some residences on Adekujo Road, Alakuko , have been allegedly defrauded to the tune of over N1 m.

Adeniyi Owolabi, (45 years outdated man), allegedly collected cash from 12 individuals , promising to allocate them residences in the home, which was underneath building as of that point.

Abiola concluded that he was not fascinated by pursuing a case towards the suspect , including that he solely needed a refund .
A home agent , Amos Afolayan , stated he took three individuals to the suspect.
Afolayan defined that his purchasers paid Owolabi N300, 000, N230, 000 and N100 ,000 , for a two bedroomed flat , a flat, and a room- and- parlour residence , respectively.
He stated , “He advised us he was the agent accountable for the home . I noticed that the highest flooring of the home was still underneath building , while part of the bottom flooring had been accomplished . My purchasers paid the rents , together with settlement , fee and warning charges . After we went to take possession of the residences , we learnt he had fled . The finished residences had been occupied.
“Prior to now, he had given us the contact of his boss , Adewale. Anytime we referred to as Adewale , he would say he was in Ilorin, Kwara State. At one other time , he stated he was sick and had a surgical procedure . He stated he was recuperating. He normally picked our calls . If he missed a name , he would return it again with a name.
Lastly, “We saw a lawyer who claimed to be representing him . The lawyer told us that Adewale would be back the following week and we should be patient. He was about leaving when we held him and handed him over to the police .”
The Investigating Police Officer and some officers have been stated to have confirmed that Adewale was certainly in prison .
“When they visited him in the prison , he told them he didn’ t collect any money from Owolabi. He promised to help the police track the suspect ,” Afolayan added.
Owolabi, who spoke with our correspondent PUNCH, stated his boss tricked and handed him over to the police .
