Spokesman of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Segun Sowunmi, has claimed that his key and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, did not clinch the party’s ticket by entering into alliance with might brokers.
He said this during reacting to claims in some quarters that Atiku had to assemble multitudinous commitments to those who supported him to clinch the ticket.
Sowunmi told Daily Trust: “What alliance with might brokers? Which might brokers? There were 12 aspirants there and entire of them went to the poll.
“Everyman went to the ballot believing they had the chance of winning. It was only when the votes were counted that every man saw the number of votes he got. That is the beauty of a transparent democratic process.”
“When you are going into an election, you put in your best, but there is always a 13th hour when you must wait for the verdict of history,” he said.
