The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has if reasons the agency had been pushing to ownuse former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Madueke returned behind to Nigeria.
Magu said the commission wants the former Minister behind so she could face corruption charges.
Magu spoke at a advocate briefing in Abuja on Monday.
The EFCC boss said subsequent three years of investigation in the United Kingdom, no charges ownuse been filed against her in the UK courts.
He said, notwithstanding, that investigations into her case ownuse been concluded by the EFCC in Nigeria.
Recall that Madueke, who served as Petroleum Minister while the final administration of Goodluck Jonathan, was arrested in October 2015, by the UK’s National Crime Agency, NCA, in London, along with four other public on suspicion of corruption offences.
Magu said, “I mull over three years is enough for you to grasp her [Diezani] to court.
“There is no court process against her in the UK. Nobody is prosecuting her there.”
