Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has reacted to reports of Senator Dino Melaye being among lawmakers that ‘booed’ president Muhammadu Buhari at the National Assembly throughout the 2019 budget presentation.
Recall that lawmakers booed President Muhammadu Buhari, throughout the 2019 budget presentation previous to a joint session of the National Assembly on December 19, 2018.
However, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, on Saturday denied being share of the lawmakers that booed Buhari.
Melaye claimed he was away at the House of Representatives chamber, venue of the budget presentation on that day.
Since the incident, there utilize been reports in the social media that the booing was led by the Kogi Senator.
Speaking on the development, Sani supported Melaye’s claim, saying the Senator was not bequest at NASS on the day Buhari was booed.
In a post on his Twitter side, the Kaduna lawmaker wrote: ”Dino was not bequest on the day the President presented the budget to the Joint parliamentary session.”
